Biography
Josh was born in New York City and moved to St. Petersburg, Florida when he was three years old. He is a proud product of Pinellas County Schools, having attended Rio Vista Elementary, Riviera Middle, and the Pinellas County Center for the Arts at Gibbs High School, where he was a music major.
After high school, he attended St. Petersburg College before receiving his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. He was inducted into Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society at USF in 2015.
In 2016 he moved to Washington, DC to work in the office of then-Congressman David W. Jolly. In 2017, he began working at a telecommunications trade association while studying in the evenings at The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law, where a professor once said that he was “likeable, but very talkative.”
He received his juris doctor degree in May 2021 and additionally received a certificate in communications law from Catholic University’s Law and Technology Institute. In law school, he served as the Evening Law Students Association first year students’ representative (2017-2018) and treasurer (2018-2021). He was evening division chair of the Federalist Society from 2020-2021.
Josh is a patron of the fine arts and is a former member of The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay. In his free time, he can usually be found at a symphony concert, an estate sale hunting for political memorabilia, or drinking iced coffee. It is believed that he is solely responsible for keeping the dental floss industry afloat.
He is admitted to practice law in Washington, DC and Florida.
